2 killed in a car accident in Shimla district

Two persons were killed and one man injured when the Maruti Van they were travelling in fell into a deep gorge in Chopal in Shimla district, police said today.

The van carrying four persons was on its way from Vikasnagar to Gumma in the district when the driver lost control over the vehicle while negotiating a sharp curve last night and fell into the gorge, killing two on the spot.

The injured has been shifted to hospital and the bodies of the victims handed over to relatives, the police said.
