Shimla: Air traffic was restored in Himachal as all flights to Shimla, Kullu and Dharamshala operated as per schedule today.
The state was lashed with heavy to moderate rainfall today disrupting normal life across the state.
Traffic on the Manali – Keylong road was restored again. Earlier the traffic had got disrupted at Rohtang Pass and the road was opened today after two days.
Meanwhile long traffic jams in the apple belt continued in the Jubbal Kotkhai and Theog area as the main state and national highway is full of slush creating long traffic jams. The entire road to traffic has been diverted via Narkanda, Baghi, Pujarli road for the past week as the Theog – Hatkoti road has become unusable due to heavy rains creating problems for the people of Rohru who now have to travel a longer distance to reach Shimla.
This has also created a shortage of buses in the Kotkhai – Jubbal area as all long route buses from Shimla to Rohru now travel through Narkanda.
