Shimla: Asian Development Bank (ADB) would soon open a Project Management Unit (PMU) at Shimla and Project Implementation Unit (PIU) at Kangra, to execute and monitor the Rs. 428.22 crore Mega Tourism Infrastructure Development Project in the Himachal Pradesh in next four years.
ADB has drawn a plan to provide loan of US $ 95.16 Million (Rs. 428.22 crore) out of which Rs. 128.50 crore would be made available under the Project-I and Rs. 279.72 crore under Project-II for implementation between the period of year 2010-2014. Under Project-I there would be nine sub-projects consisting of estimated 20 contract packages while the Project – 2 would be submitted by the state government by year 2012 when the sub-projects would be ready for financing.
A meeting was held today between the state government and the Asian Development Bank Mission which was attended by Chief Minister PK Dhumal and Atsesushi Kaneko from the ADB.
