Cold wave tightens grip in Himachal

Shimla: Himachal shivered on the second consecutive day as day temperature dropped across all major towns in the state.

Keylong in Lahul & Spiti district remained the coldest town at a minimum temperature of minus 5 degrees celsius where as Kalpa in Kinnaur district saw a low of minus 2 degrees. Bhuntar in Kullu recorded a temperature of 1.2 degrees and Dharamshala was 6.3 degrees.

Shimla recorded a minimum of 3.8 degrees, a slight fall from Thursday’s 3.9 degrees Celsius.

The met office predicted rain and snow in the state in the next 24 hours.
