Shimla: Youths in Shimla came out with a novel way by organising a cricket match on the historic Ridge to highlight the absence of parks in the town. ![]()
The cricket match was organised on the call given by Youth Enlightenment and Society (YES) which is running a campaign to build parks and re-creational activities in the town.
The match was however stopped as the police took away bat and ball and later took away YES president Akarshan Chauhan for questioning who was later released late in the night.
Shimla Mayor Madhu Sood was also invited by YES to witness the match but she turned down the request.
