Shimla: Himachal government has started acquiring land for developing a new industrial area at Dawni near Baddi in Solan district. 68 plots have been developed for setting up of various industrial units by the state Industrial Development Corporation and 60 plots have already been allotted.
This was disclosed by Kishan Kapoor, Industries Minister in Shimla today. He said the pace of industrialization has accelerated in last two and a half years as more than 3157 industrial units worth investment of Rs. 12,585 crore were sanctioned during the same period under which more than one lakh youth would get employment avenues in the state.
Kapoor said the plots were being allotted to the investors as per their requirements so that small and large industrial units could be set up. He said the government was providing ample facilities to the industrialists and big industrial houses were also coming to make investment in industrial sector in the state.
