Dhumal takes a dig at Congress

Dharamshala: Taking a dig at the Congress, Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal today said if the upcoming state prem kumar dhumal assembly elections are fought under the leadership of former union minister Virbhadra Singh, winning the polls would be easy for the ruling BJP.

“If Virbhadra is given the leadership of the Congress in Himachal, the task of winning elections will become very easy for BJP as we have defeated him many times,” Dhumal told reporters here.

Meanwhile amid speculation over a possible change in the state committee before the assembly polls, Himachal Congress today cancelled its proposed protest outside the Assembly on August 27.

Several Congress MLAs and senior leaders are in Delhi waiting for a final decision of the high command on the much debated organisational changes ahead of assembly polls, which are just two months away, party sources said.
