Chief Minister Prof.Dhumal was joined by his cabinet colleagues, sitting and former members of the state Legislative Assembly, councillors of local Municipal Corporation. former Mayor and people in paying floral tributes to Dr. Parmar at his statue at the Ridge.
Later addressing a function at the Vidhan Sabha complex to mark the occasion, Dhumal said the state government was on its way to realising the cherished dream of Dr. Parmar to make Himachal the "most progressive, self sufficient, forward looking and prosperous" state in the country.
He said that welfare and socio-economic up-liftment of the under privileged sections of the society was priorities fixed by Dr. Parmar which were still being accorded top priority by the state government. He said following the foot steps and the road map drawn by the first Chief Minister, the state government was moving ahead with uniform and balanced development of entire Himachal Pradesh by rising above all other considerations so that entire state was developed speedily.
