Govt. hikes bus fares in Himachal Pradesh

Shimla: Himachal Pradesh government today announced a hike of 30 percent bus fares of state-run buses in view of the recent rise in fuel prices. The revised fares will be effective from April 1 an official spokesman announced in Shimla.

The cabinet in a meeting last evening decided to increase fares of HRTC buses by 30 percent. Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal had earlier hinted at a hike in bus fares in view of the rise in diesel prices.
