Shimla: Himachal Revenue Minister Thakur Gulab Singh said the government will take a lenient view on encroachments done on government land by destitute single women, freedom fighters and those living below the poverty line.
The minister said the land record data entry work had been completed in all the 20198 villages in the state. He said the data has been validated and made error free in 19987 villages and record of rights had been made online in respect of 19396 villages. He dislosed 3366 common service centres were being set up in the state and till date 1699 such centres has been made functional.
Thakur Gulab Singh said the computerisation of land records was the priority agenda of the government and computer centres have been established in 109 Tehsils /Sub Tehsils and 51 sub divisional offices. He said that computer awareness training was being imparted to over 1200 patwaris and kanungoos to make them acquainted about the computer functioning.
Revenue Minister said that 58642-39-46 hectares of shamlat land have been reverted to 119697 beneficiaries in the State.
Dr. PC Kapoor, Principal Secretary, Revenue said that e-stamping system would be implemented in Shimla and Solan districts on pilot basis.
