Heavy rains predicted for next two days in Himachal

Shimla: Himachal Pradesh may experience heavy rainfall in the next two days, Met office said today.

Rivers and their tributaries are already in spate and the government has declared a high alert in Kullu, Mandi, Kinnaur, Bilaspur and Shimla districts.

‘There are chances of heavy to very heavy rainfall at some places in the state till Monday,’ local meteorological office director Manmohan Singh said.

Entire Himachal is likely to have good spells of rain in the next two days, he said.

According to the Met office Shimla received 0.6 mm of rain, Dharamsala 16.6 mm and Sundernagar 15.4 mm.
