Himachal BJP president booked for making casteist remarks

Shimla: State BJP President Khimi Ram and another BJP leader Dharamvir Dhami were today booked by the police for making casteist remarks. Interestingly these leaders were booked on a complaint filed by   another BJP leader Ram Singh from Kullu district.

Ram Singh complained to the police that the two leaders made casteist remarks at a meeting in Kullu to finalise party candidates for the upcoming panchayat elections.

As per police a FIR has been registered under the Scheduled Castes and Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act.
