Shimla: Fresh snowfall was reported from popular tourist resorts of Kufri and Narkanda near Shimla today while other parts of the state received rains and thunder showers leading to considerable fall in temperature.
Kufri and Narkanda received 6 cm of snowfall and higher altitude areas in Lahaul-Spiti, Kinnaur, Kullu and Chamba districts also experienced moderate snowfall.
Dharamshala, Shimla, Solan and Mandi towns received moderate to heavy rain during the day.
The minimum temperature in Shimla fell to 3 degrees Celsius from Monday’s 9. Keylong settled at minus 6.8 degrees celsius, Kalpa was minus two degree Celsius. Una recorded eleven degrees, Sundernagar 10.7 degrees, Bhuntar 9.6 degrees and Dharamsala was 4.8 degrees Celsius
The Met department predicted more rain and snow in the state till Wednesday.
