While it is nice for Vijay that he has ultimately got his due but the intentions of BJP leadership is tainted. Why did it take so long for the BJP government to acknowledge the sporting achievements of Vijay Kumar. With elections due this year, BJP is simply trying to appease the people in home district of Chief Minister.

Not for nothing that Vijay Kumar was running pillar to post earlier to get the state recognise his sporting feats and sounded so dejected earlier with the behavior of the state government.
