Himachal police launches assistance on SMS

Shimla: DS Manhas, Director General of Police said here today that the police has started SMS service through mobile number 9459100100. Any citizen can pass information or seek assistance through this number.

All the SMS are immediately forwarded to the concerned police officers for taking appropriate action. Gist of the SMS is also forwarded through police wireless network.

All the SMS received within 24 hours are put up to DGP for further monitoring.

He urged the people to make best use of the facility so that people could get police assistance and can pass vital and timely information to the police.
