Kullu: In a major breakthrough Himachal Pradesh Police today recovered the stolen idols of Lord Raghunath which were stolen in December 2014 from Kullu.
Speaking to the media ADG Police Sanjay Kundu said said the idols of Hanuman and Narsing were recovered near the temple. Main idol of Lord Raghunath was later recovered from Bajoura.
Kundu said that the police was able to solve the case after the arrest of the main accused in Nepal. Based on the clues given by the accused police today recovered the stolen idols.
Police had earlier announced a reward of Rs. 10 Lakh for giving information about the robbers.
Robbers had stolen the antique idols on December 9, 2014 from Raghunath Temple in Kullu and decamped with the main idol of Lord, Hanuman, Nar Singh and other idols.
The idols are believed to be brought from Ayodhya in 17th century and Lord Raghunath is the main deity at the Kullu Dushera.
