Shimla: Himachal Government is seeking Rs. 3,3oo crore annual plan for the year 2011-12. This was disclosed by the Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal yesterday while initiating discussions with legislators for annual plan formulation.
Dhumal said the roads, education and health will be accorded topmost priority besides generating resources and employment opportunities especially of self employment in the State
Expressing concern over the 13th Finance Commission’s recommendations, Dhumal said it did not take into account the liabilities of the state because of pay scales revision, pensions and interest. The 13th Finance Commission has given a non-plan revenue grant of Rs.7,888 crore whereas the 12th Finance Commission had given us a grant of Rs.10,202 crore,’ Dhumal said.
He said the state has taken up this matter with the central government again and demanded Rs.2,500 crore as central assistance and Rs.1,500 crore as special plan assistance for the state for 2011-12.
