Himachal shivers as cold wave continues

Despite sunny condition in most parts of the state today there was no respite from the cold wave in Himachal Pradesh. Sun played truant in Shimla where day temperature was recorded at 13 degree Celsius, a slight fall against yesterday’s 14.3 degree Celsius, the minimum was measured at 3.1 degree Celsius.

Elsewhere, the minimum registered a marginal rise in some parts of the state. While it was 16.8 degree Celsius in Bhuntar, the maximum at Kalpa in Kinnaur district was recorded 4.6 degree Celsius, while it was 18.4 and 23.6 degree Celsius at Dharamshala and Una respectively. Keylong, the district headquarter of Lahaul and Spiti was the coldest with the minimum recording at minus 12.2 degree Celsius.
