Himachal to conduct survey of unsafe schools following deaths at primary school in Una

 Shimla: A day after the reported death of four primary school children in Chatrapur Dada in Una district following collapse of the school building, Himachal Government today directed the education department to conduct a survey of school buildings across the state.

As per government release Education Minister ID Dhiman said that directions were issued to all Deputy Directors of Elementary and Higher Education to conduct a survey of unsafe school buildings and boundary walls done by the PWD and if needed such school buildings and boundary walls may be dismantled.

He said that the responsibility will be fixed in the incident and necessary funds will be provided to construct new buildings so as to ensure safety of children.

Dhiman expressed grief over the incident and directed the district administration to provide relief to the affected families.
