Himachal Tourism to hold road show in Delhi

Shimla: Himachal Pradesh tourism department will be organising a two-day road show in the national capital from Saturday to promote the state as a favoured tourist destination.

The show to be held on October 23 and 24 would start with a business meet of ‘Unforgettable Himachal’, where tourism potential of the state, strategy to be followed and investment opportunities in tourism sector will be highlighted by the state government, Director Tourism and Civil Aviation, Arun Kumar Sharma,said. Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal would be chief guest on the occasion, he added. D

Domestic tour operators, environmentalists, travel writers and producers are likely to participate in the meet, he added. Sharma said an exhibition showcasing ‘Unforgettable Himachal’ would be organised at Dilli Haat on October 24, in which stalls exhibiting tourism and state handicraft would be put up. Himachal food festival will also be organised for the people, Sharma said.
