Himachal’s traditional cuisines on TV

Shimla: Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation (HPTDC) in association with a private Malayalam television channel, ‘Kairalli’ will prepare television serial about the traditional cuisines and culture of Himachal Pradesh.

Subhashish Panda, Managing Director, HPTDC said, “A plan has been formulated in this regard. A team of the channel would visit Shimla, Narkanda, Rampur, Sarahan, Kalpa and tribal district of Lahaul and Spiti”.

The programme would be telecast on the Kairalli channel’s programe Flavour of India, showcasing traditional cuisines, dresses and lifestyle of hill people.

Panda said that the serial would go a long way in making tourists acquaint with the culture, cuisines and traditions of the people of Himachal Pradesh, which would further help boost tourism in the State.
