HKS files writ petition against carton factory machinery sale

Shimla: Himachal Kisan Sabha (HKS) today filed a writ petition in the Himachal Pradesh High Court against selling of the plant  machinery of AIPIL carton factory at Gumma and prayed for scrapping of the deal.

The writ petition was filed by Tikender Panwar of HKS and also demanded an investigation of the whole affair whereby Rs. 28 crore machinery has been disposed off for just Rs. 1.08 crore.

The petition was placed for hearing in the court of Chief Justice Kurian Joseph and Justice VK Ahuja and the court fixed January 5, 2011 as the next date of hearing.
