Shimla: It was a hot day in Himachal Pradesh on Friday as the mercury again rose through out the state with temprature crossing the 40 degree mark in Una town, a met official said.
Una town was the hottest in the state with a high of 41.6 degrees Celsius.
‘Temperatures remained on the higher side in the state due to lack of rainfall,’ Manmohan Singh, director of the meteorological office said.
Sundernagar in Mandi district recorded a high of 35.9 degrees Celsius while Dharamsala was 35.4 degrees.
State capital Shimla was at 27.3 degrees, three degrees above average.
The met office predicted the weather would largely remain dry on Saturday.
