Shimla: The weather man today forecasted more spells of snow in higher reaches of Himachal Pradesh.
The high hills of Lahaul and Spiti, Kinnaur and Kullu districts may experience another spell of snow, while the mid and low hills would experience rain and thundershowers by Tuesday,’ Manmohan Singh, director of the meteorological office was quoted in the media.
Keylong, headquarters of Lahaul and Spiti, was the coldest with a minimum temperature of minus 0.4 degrees Celsius.
Kalpa in Kinnaur district saw a low of 1.5 degrees Celsius, while it was 4.6 degrees Celsius at Sundernagar in Mandi district, 4.4 degrees at Bhuntar in Kullu district and 8.5 degrees Celsius at Dharamsala in Kangra district.
Shimla recorded a minimum of 8.7 degrees Celsius, while the maximum was 18.1 degrees Celsius.
The government issued an advisory anticipating heavy snowfall against crossing the Rohtang Pass, located at an altitude of 13,050 feet and 50 km from Manali in Kullu district, either on foot or in a vehicle.
