Nadda resigns from Himachal cabinet

Shimla: Jagat Prakash Nadda upon appointed as General Secretary of the BJP at the national level today resigned as cabinet minister in Himachal Pradesh to take up his new assignment.

Nadda met Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal in assembly and submitted his resignation which was accepted. "Yes I have submitted by resignation to the chief minister," Nadda told reporters.

"I have asked him to continue till the ongoing budget session of the assembly," Dhumal said.

Nadda in his letter to the CM said that since he has been appointed as national general secretary of the BJP he was resigning from HP cabinet in accordance with the party’s policy of ‘one man one post’.
