Vadodara: Yusuf Pathan sent Himachal Pradesh team packing home by claiming six wickets as Baroda defeated Himachal by an innings and 17 runs in the Ranji Trophy Elite Group B match on Friday.
Resuming at 108 for four, Himachal batsmen could not face the onslaught of Yusuf Pathan and the six batsmen could muster just 110 runs.
Pathan bowled a deadly spell claiming six wickets for 74 runs.
Varun Sharma scored 43 runs, skipper Paras Dogra 53, Vinit Indulkar 36 and Rishi Dhawan scored 36 runs in the 214 runs score of Himachal Pradesh.
With this win Baroda has qualified for the knockout stage and it’s point tally went up to 20 points standing second in the league table.
