Shimla MC has no funds for new parks

Shimla: Filing it’s reply in a suo motto PIL in the High Court today the Municipal Corporation, Shimla said it has no funds to set up recreational places for the children and the public.

A division bench comprising Chief Justice Kurian Joseph and Justice Rajeev Sharma last month took cognizance of a letter written by a 10-year-old girl to the Chief Justice demanding parks in the town.

The court directed the state government to file it’s reply within 3 weeks to clear it’s stand on availability of funds to the MC.
