Shops gutted in fire in Shimla

Shimla: Five shops were gutted in a fire incident in the Lower Bazaar area of Shimla before it was controlled by the firemen.

The fire which was started near the Sher-e-Punjab dhaba at around 1.30 am and it took over two hours to contain the fire.

Short circuiting of the electrical wiring is being suspected as the reason of the accident.

Preliminary reports suggested that the loss was over a few lakhs.
