Shops, houses gutted in fire at Chailla in Shimla district

A major fire was reported at Chailla village under Theog tehsil of Shimla district today. Though no loss of human life was reported but many sheds, shops and houses were destroyed in the fire and about 42 goats were also burnt alive.

State Horticulture minister Narender Bragta alongwith SDM Theog and other district officers visited the site and distributed Rs. 71,500 as immediate relief to the fire victims.

He also directed the district administration to provide all possible assistance to the fire affected families.
