Shimla: The Met Office today came out for some good news for the hill people of Himachal Pradesh. Met office today predicted heavy snowfall and rainfall across Himachal Pradesh for the next three days starting December 29.
Manmohan Singh, director of the met office today said that there are chances of heavy snowfall in Shimla, Narkanda, Kufri, Kalpa, Manali and Dalhousie in the next three days. He said the Western disturbances originating from Caspian Sea would be active over the state in the next few days.
Shimla has not seen a decent snowfall for the past few years. It was last in 2002 that Shimla experienced snowfall on New Year’s eve.
The news has brought relief to the hospitality industry in Shimla and other tourists destination in the state as Shimla experienced dismissal tourist traffic on Christmas.
