Temperature drops below zero in major towns across Himachal

Shimla: The intense cold conditions in Himachal Pradesh brought the mercury in minus in major towns across Himachal  while icy-cold winds affected normal life forcing people to stay indoors.

Keylong in Lahaul Spiti and Kalpa in Kinnuar were at minus three degree Celsius each followed by Solan at minus 0.6 degrees and Sunder Nagar at minus 0.3 degrees, Buntar IN Kullu was at zero degrees.

Minimum temperature at Shimla recorded was 2.7 degrees, Una 3.7 degrees, Dharamshala and Palampur 4 degrees each and Nahan 6 degrees respectively.

The Met office forecast mainly dry weather in the state during next 24 hrs.
