Shimla: Two days after the heavy snowfall in state capital Shimla in Himachal Pradesh, roads leading to the state level Indira Gandhi Medical Hospital (IGMC) has still not been cleared from Victory Tunnel and from Sanjouli side leading to greatĀ inconvenience to the general public.

Despite two days of clear weather in the state capital, roads around the Mall Road, Lakkar Bazaar, Longwood and IGMC are still to be cleared properly. Normally, after the snow is cleared, mud is thrown on the road to make it less slippery so that the vehicles can ply and it becomes easier for the public to walk on the road but no such thing has been done this year leading to accidents for pedestrians and vehicles slipping dangerously on the road.

Shimla seat is represented by BJP MLA, Suresh Bhardwaj while Congress rules from the state capital and CPI(M) leaders are the Mayor and Dy. Mayor of the city. Everyone responsible for running the city has turned a blind eye to theĀ inconvenience to the general public especially to reach the state level IGMC hospital.

Efforts to reach the Mayor and Dy Mayor of Shimla city were not fruitful.

IGMC roads really seek great attention during winters, our administration won’t shake up until we collide with some major wreckage šŸ˜

The pace of clearing roads in Shimla is shocking..!! The administration cleared roads of all hotels first and have left the city hospital roads. Today afternoon there was a big traffic jam around Kaithu and Rivoli Bus Stand as the vehicles kept on skidding.

Where is our Mayor and Dy Mayor sahib in this hour of emergency. Clearing roads happens to be the work of MC.. Dy. Mayor was busy posting pics on Facebook from his office of snow. Least he could have seen the plight of people here
