Shimla: Widespread rains in Himachal Pradesh were recorded on Sunday bringing the temperature down in the state. The sky remained overcast with dense fog in most part of the state.
Kasauli received the maximum rainfall in the state with 31 mm of rainfall followed by Bangana (28 mm) and Jubber Hatti 24 mm of rainfall. Nahan received 22 mm of rainfall, Solan 21 mm, Mandi 9 mm and Paonta Sahib received 8 mm of rains.
Shimla recorded a maximum of 20.4 degree Celcius, Nahan was at 28.1 degrees, Dharamshala 27.6 degrees and Kalpa 22.2 degrees. Una was hottest in the state recording a temperature of 32 degrees.
Traffic was disrupted at many places due to landslides in the state. Traffic was restored on Mandi Pathankot highway on Sunday morning which was disrupted due to landslides at various places.
Local Met office has predicted heavy rains for next 48 hours.
