The Houston Astros and Tampa Bay Rise will continue their best-of-seven NBA championship series on Monday afternoon at Petco Park in San Diego. The Rays jumped to the top spot 1-0 after winning the first game on Sunday.
Astros will start playing right-hand Lance McCullers Jr. For Game 2. McCollers only lasted four rounds in the first game of ALDS against Athletics. He gave up five runs (four gained, three runs) at nine strokes and walked while hitting five. In his five post-season career starts, McCullers was 1-0 with 3.75 ERs.
The Rays will face Charlie Morton on the right. Morton was part of the 2017 World Championship-winning Astros team. Signed up with Rays as a free agent during the 2018 offseason. Morton scored the victory in his 3 ALDS match against the Yankees. Two runs (one gained) on four strokes with six strokes and two walks on five turns allowed. In three postseason starts with Tampa, Morton is 3-0 with 1.20 ERA. When Astros and Reyes faced each other at ALDS last year, Morton allowed one run and hit nine out of five runs in Tampa Bay’s win at Game 3.
It would be CBS Sports without the entire game providing live updates below.
