“We shall win this race”, Joe Biden declaredFriday after a day of rollercoaster that began with taking the lead in two major states. But as the vote count continues to decline, the race remains unjustified.
Much of the focus is on the 20 electoral votes in Pennsylvania – enough at this point to win Biden the presidency. As of late Friday, the former vice president was leading there with more than 28,000 votes with 96% of the vote.
CBS news is still looking PennsylvaniaAnd the Georgia And the North Carolina While Nevada is likely to be democratic, Arizona leans toward Biden. President Trump took a seat in Arizona, while Biden expanded his lead slightly in Nevada.
Biden urged confidence in the counting process on Friday, as President Trump continued to claim unfounded that the election was stolen from him.
“Democracy works – your vote counts,” Biden said. “I don’t care how hard people try to stop it. I won’t let that happen. People’s voice will be heard. Our journey toward a more perfect union.”
Mr Trump spent his day out of sight but vowed not to compromise. His team chose David Bossi, a longtime political advisor, to lead efforts to challenge results in several states.
